Please come join us for the record release party of Brooklyn Mellows. this coming Saturday, June 1st, at the Brooklyn Yoga School, located at 82 6th ave in Brooklyn, NY 11215! The evening includes live Kirtan with Devadas and friends, a first listen to the amazing CD, time to be with the artist and it’s absolutely free. Brooklyn Mellows t-shirts will be on sale and there will be some fun door prizes from Mantralogy as well. What a great way to start the summer, with sacred music and sacred sanga. Be a part of this wonderful happening. Carpe Diem.
If you haven’t already heard, Brooklyn Mellows is the Mantralogy debut of NYC kirtaniya Devadas, with over 2 hours of bhajan and kirtan featuring Terrence Pompey, Nina Rao, Anjula Saraswati Prasad, Mark Gorman, Sundar Das, Richard Davis, Genevieve Walker, J Mascis, Nirmala, Shyama, Ambika and more. I had the chance to share an evening of chant with the Brooklyn Bhakti community and I can’t tell you how deeply moved I was. They have understood the purpose of this rare human birth and they join together weekly to chant, and to uplift their collective consciousness. They are community which centers around relationships, made deep by the sharing of song, dance and love. It is truly rare and wonderful and something to behold.
And if you are too far away, and you can’t make it to Brooklyn this Saturday, you can also order Brooklyn Mellows by clicking the link below. Let’s all join together to support these wonderful artists, who are not only changing the world every day, but who change the hearts of all of those people who hear them sing.
